Overview of Scholarships

New undergraduate students enrolled in any degree within the Faculty of Mathematics—with the exception of Software Engineering, Computing, and Financial Management—are eligible to receive approximately ten scholarships, with each awarding between $12,000 and $25,000 over eight academic terms. International students who have a valid study permission are the only ones eligible for these scholarships.

After Year One, the student must maintain an overall academic average of 80% or above and continue to be enrolled in an accredited program in order to receive further payments. The ideal applicant will have a stellar academic record, especially in math, and a track record of success in high school computer science and/or math competitions.

Beyond the requirements of the standard curriculum, candidates must have a strong interest in mathematics or computer science. This can be demonstrated through advanced mathematics coursework, active involvement in math or computer science clubs, relevant volunteer or professional activities, or related hobbies.

Participation and achievements in student government, sports, music, art, and related fields are also considered. Candidates must submit their applications by the beginning of February, and application forms are available on the Faculty of Mathematics website.
