Criteria for eligibility Trent University Entrance Scholarship

Secondary students:

• Students from a Canadian secondary school with an admission average of 80% or higher who are beginning their first year at Trent University.
• Transfer Students are defined as individuals who have successfully completed a minimum of two full-time semesters at an approved Canadian post-secondary institution (university or college diploma program) and have received an entrance average of 80% or higher.
• Scholarships for students who receive their education at home
• Candidates with objective, third-party ratings will be awarded entrance scholarships.
• If home-schooled students have completed their senior secondary school credits and are utilizing 4U/4M, AP, or IB grades for entrance, they may be eligible for scholarships.
• The admissions office will evaluate the eligibility of students who have taken the SAT exam for scholarships based on their grade conversion.

International student scholarships

• International scholarships are awarded by the Trent International division.
• Applicants must demonstrate extraordinary academic performance, with a “A” average or a comparable grade.
• Applicants must have demonstrated leadership through community service or accomplishment in the arts, sports, or other areas of personal achievement.
• The English language standards must be met by applicants, which include a minimum writing score of 20 on the TOEFL, an overall score of 89 on the IELTS with no band below 6.0, a PTE score of 59, and a Duolingo score of 115.
