Job Description
- The candidates for this position are expected to assist in the administrative and health and safety functions of related field operations, as well as plan, develop, implement, and maintain the technical components of the Wildlife Research and Monitoring Section program.
Job requirement
- In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess a legitimate class ‘G’ driver’s license or an equivalent license recognized by the Province of Ontario.
- In order to be considered for this position, candidates must be willing to undergo rabies vaccination and sustain an appropriate antibody titre on an annual basis.
- The ideal candidate for this position should possess a high level of proficiency in the capture and handling of live animals, the use of live traps, the operation of microscopes, autopsy equipment, general laboratory practices, and the operation of field equipment to collect data and process specimens for biological data and sample collection.
- In order to be considered an asset for this position, they must have exhibited experience working safely in remote field settings and in the laboratory, including the use of multiple modes of transportation.
