University of Winnipeg Linda Brown and Vana Kirby Graduate Scholarship

In order to recognize and assist her sisters and graduate students at the University of Winnipeg in Canada, Dr. Sandra Kirby established the Linda Brown and Vana Kirby Scholarship, Graduate Level.

Although its antecedents can be traced back over 145 years, the University of Winnipeg was granted its charter in 1967. Manitoba College (1871) and Wesley College (1888) were the initial institutions. In 1938, they merged to form United College. In order to be eligible for the Linda Brown and Vana Kirby Graduate Scholarship, candidates must submit a curriculum vitae (CV), academic transcript, and, if applicable, any evidence regarding a disability to their Graduate Program Chair.

Consequently, the Faculty of Graduate Studies mandates that Graduate Program Chairs submit a letter of reference, in addition to the student’s materials.
