There are a plethora of international undergraduate scholarships that can be categorized into two primary categories: scholarships that are awarded based on application and scholarships that are awarded based on admission. Examples of admission-based scholarships include the Regional Excellence Scholarship, the International Admission Scholarship, and the Gold Standard Scholarship, which provides students with up to $6,000 CAD respectively.
One of the application-based scholarships offered by the University of Alberta is the Global Citizen Scholarship for IB Diploma International Students, which provides students with up to CAD 120,000 over four years. The other scholarships are the President’s International Distinction Scholarship, the International Leader Scholarship, and the May Quon Undergraduate Scholarship.
