SCHOLARSHIP COVERAGE
The OGS, which will be provided by the University of Toronto, is valued at $5,000 per session. Consequently, recipients may receive $10,000 for two consecutive sessions or $15,000 for three. The graduating unit consistently contributes one-third of the students’ honorarium.
Each scholarship is granted for a period of one year, which consists of two consecutive or three academic sessions. The value and duration of each OGS award will be determined by the awarding graduate unit, which will also specify them in the offer letter.

Exception for COVID-19:
Eligible applicants are international graduate students who are currently enrolled and have not yet obtained a study visa as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic. These candidates must possess current study permission in order to be eligible for the award.
Application Procedures
In, applicants must be enrolled or intend to enroll full-time in a qualifying program.
The candidate must be enrolled full-time in a graduate-level program at the University of Toronto for a minimum of two or three terms. complete-time students are required to enroll in a minimum of 60% of a complete course load, as determined by their institution (40% for students with a permanent impairment).
The eligibility of a student for the program is determined independently by each graduate unit. In order to determine whether their program is eligible for the graduate unit’s OGS competition, students should meticulously assess the information provided by the graduate unit they intend to enroll in.
They have not exceeded the lifetime limit on government funding or the maximum level of OGS/QEII support that is permissible for their level of study (see Maximum Support below).
The student must have achieved a minimum of an A- (or an equivalent grade) in each of the last two years of full-time study. Alternatively, if the student has already completed two years or more of graduate coursework at the time of application, they must demonstrate that they have averaged at least an A- across all of their graduate coursework.
