Job Responsibilities:
As a Barn Worker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and well-being of livestock while ensuring the efficiency of farm operations. Your responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and maintaining stables, barns, pens, and other farm enclosures.
- Feeding, watering, and monitoring the health and well-being of swine.
- Assisting in animal movement and handling to ensure humane treatment.
- Implementing farm safety and biosecurity procedures.
- Maintaining detailed records of animal care, production, and environmental conditions.
- Operating and maintaining farming equipment and tools.
- Assisting in breeding programs and vaccinations.
- Monitoring livestock for signs of illness and reporting issues to supervisors.
- Collecting and analyzing samples for farm data tracking.
- Handling the loading and unloading of animals and feed supplies.
Job Requirements:
To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Language Proficiency: High level of English proficiency required.
- Education: Secondary (high) school diploma required.
- Experience: 1 to 7 months of experience in a related field preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform labor-intensive tasks.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable, organized, and adaptable to changing work conditions.

- Setting: Rural farm location, working closely with livestock.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
- Work in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, dusty).
- Exposure to strong odors and fast-paced work environments.
- Equipment Experience: Manual tools, loaders, and farm machinery.
- Transportation: No public transport available – candidates must arrange their own transport.
