Description of Marble Mason Jobs:

• The candidate is required to prepare, measure, and designate the surfaces that are to be covered.
• The candidate is required to utilize a hand trowel to mix, apply, and distribute mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives.
• The candidate is required to generate preliminary designs and plans.
• The candidate is required to apply pressure and position the tiles to ensure that they are securely fastened to the base.
• The candidate will be accountable for the alignment and straightening of tiles.
• Tenders and quotations must be generated by the candidate.
• The candidate is required to use both hand and power-cutting equipment to cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings.
• Apprentices will be instructed by the candidate.
• The candidate is required to remove any excess grout and compress grout into the joints between tiles.
• The candidate will be accountable for the removal and replacement of fractured or damaged tiles.
• The candidate will be accountable for the supervision of other employees.
