Job Description 

• The annual budget for the unit is developed, recommended, and administered by the candidates who applied for this position. The incumbent of this position is responsible for ensuring that the unit’s expenditures are controlled and maintained within the approved budget limitations.
• Additionally, applicants are responsible for monitoring the status of projects and the rate of capital delivery to guarantee that they are completed per the approved plans in effect at this position.
• In this position, candidates are also responsible for representing the Transportation Services Division at public meetings, external agency meetings, Committees of the Council, and the City Council.
• Applicants for this position are obligated to represent the Transportation Services Division in interviews with the media regarding significant transportation infrastructure project issues.
• Individuals who submit applications for this position are also responsible for responding to public inquiries and grievances concerning significant transportation infrastructure projects.

Job requirement 

• To be considered for this position, candidates must possess post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning/Urban Planning, or Project Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Interpersonal skills, human relations, political acumen, negotiation, and conflict resolution must be highly developed in candidates.
